This piece was used as cover art for an artist's single release. The artist requested that there be a broken heart on the cover, as well as that the overall cover would be street-like and edgy. I responded to this brief by using certain design elements that I felt best mirrored the desired feel, from the paint strokes seen in the heart, to the grunge texture present in the background and "DESERVE" headline.
