In celebration of The Lion King's 25th anniversary on Broadway in NYC, Disney Theatrical Productions chose to honor this award-winning show with a series of creative projects based on the iconic Lion King broadway logo. In collaboration with the School of Visual Arts in New York City, hand-selected creatives were chose to design a piece inspired by the show and its branding.
I chose to create this motion poster inspired by overarching theme of the Africa and the patterns featured within the show. The shimmer effect seen in the video speaks to the magical quality of both TLK and Broadway at large. While the piece in its static form has an illusion of movement on its own, adding motion to the work enhances the feeling of the work.
